Local Solutions
Community engagement is essential to advancing effective strategies for reducing gun violence. The University of Virginia, located in the City of Charlottesville and surrounded by Albemarle County, is home to the Gun Violence Solutions Project (GVSP), which is dedicated to working in collaboration with local partners to enhance public safety. The Center for Community Partnerships plays a central role in integrating community voices and leadership into the work of the GVSP.
